HR Business Partner

Multinational PR & Comms agency based in Central London is seeking a HR Business Partner.

About the role:

To partner with key stakeholders across multiple agencies to deliver an effective and business focused HR service to meet the needs and priorities of the business in line business strategy and commercial common sense.

Through effective communication skills and specialist HR and business knowledge, you will influence your stakeholder and provide expert advice and guidance on all areas of generalist HR, including performance management, learning and development and best practice for implementation of HR initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • To maintain and develop a dialogue and relationship with key stakeholders and the wider HR team to understand the key people issues and associated requirements to meet both current and future organisational challenges and to design strategies and solutions to address these issues
  • To act as an ambassador for a forward-thinking, proactive HR function.
  • To be pro-actively involved in business projects which have an impact on HR activity
  • To identify and support the business to successfully deliver credible, customer focused, cost-effective and innovative recruitment and retention solutions using a range of techniques, in co-ordination with other parts of the HR team (e.g. Recruitment, Management Development, Vocational Training)
  • To provide professional, strategic and operational HR advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, in line with employment legislation, for complex casework providing risk analysis to support this.
  • To take a pro-active approach in developing HR operations in all areas including capability, disciplinary, grievance, and sickness absence policy and procedures, and keeping abreast of changes in employment law and decisions made by Employment Tribunals
  • To identify solutions to challenging and complex ER issues and present options and ways forward for management to consider in order to mitigate ET Claims
  • To liaise with other members of the HR team, coaching and mentoring less experienced team members and sharing best practice

The successful applicant:

  • Will have recent experience at HR Manager/HR Business Partner level within a marketing agency (PR, digital, communications, advertising, branding)
  • Will be degree educated
  • Will be strong in written communication
  • Will be comfortable working in a hands-on fashion as part of a small team
