People Partner – International

Category: Human Resources
Location: London
Salary Range: £55 000 - £65 000 + benefits

Vibrant, multinational Marketing agency based in London are seeking a new People Partner to join their ever-growing team.

With over 1000 employees across 18 countries, this agency work with hugely exciting brands and are on a really thrilling path. Now, they are ready to add yet another new head to their People/HR team in support of the continued evolution of the function.

What you will be doing:

They are no ordinary People team – they are on a relentless mission to create an inspiring place to work with a stand out culture, underpinned by extraordinary People activity. They need game changers, who are able to work in a fast paced environment, not phased by being in the weeds one minute to resolve issues and the next grappling with a challenge  you  may  never  have  faced  before.  It’s  all  in  the  attitude,  the  passion  about  owning,  delivering  and improving. And most of all, playing a key role in an incredible team.

  • Client group of around 200, based across UK (London), UAE, HK, Singapore and Australia.
  • Manage and develop the mini shared service centre for the regional People team – two People Coordinators and the Comp and Payroll Analyst who support 600 people between them. Play a key role in the management of this team to ensure work is prioritised effectively and delivered in an outstanding manner. Processes need to be revised now they have launched Workday and you should be excited about figuring out how best to  improve,  automate  and  streamline,  with  proven  capability  of  defining  and  embedding  process improvements. If this team isn’t working effectively, everything else falls down.
  • Create strong relationships at all levels in the client group, through regular catch ups, keeping an ear to the ground for day to day issues so you can deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • Your role  will  encompass  everything  from  a  wide  range  of  day  to  day  generalist  support  (coaching  line managers, developing ER skills within the People team and your client group), occasional complex ER issues, coordinating  and  partnering  with  the  business  leads  to  support  the  comp  review,  identifying  learning  and development needs and working with the People Partner for Culture & Learning to deliver; working as a team with the Talent Acquisition Partner to land the right people and onboard them effectively.
  • International moves are on the increase and you can’t be phased by figuring out how to relocate people on a short or long term basis to a range of countries around the world.
  • If you’re  looking  for  a  role  without  any  hands-on  activity,  or  believe  you  are  strategically  beyond  that,  you probably won’t fit into this team. They need people who are prepared to get stuck in and get rewarded for that. They are still an entrepreneurial agency at their roots and whilst they are growing, they aren’t the kind of people team to sit in a remote office with the doors closed. Their people are people, they aren’t numbers.

The skills you will need:

  • You need  to know  your  stuff  –  good  solid  grounding  in  a  generalist, client  facing  people  role  at  Manager or Partner level
  • Ideally an understanding  of  agency  life  –  it  is  a  special  kind  of  world,  where  you  have  to  demonstrate  your commercial ability to operate effectively.
  • Proven experience of managing grassroots level People people.
  • Detailed, finisher  –  but  you  don’t  let  this  slow  you  down.  You  have  an  incredible  ability to  prioritise  and  get through stuff as that will get you the space to implement the game changing activity.
  • Resilient with a strong sense of team
